BEIJING, September 6 (TMTPOST) – Since last Friday, thousands of Li ONE owners have questioned the false promotion of China"s electric vehicle maker Li Auto through the online complaint platform for the recent price cut of its first model Li ONE by 20,000 RMB ($2,958),
The owners have started a collective complaint against Li ONE on the car complaint website, claiming that "Li Auto has a deceptive sales problem." According to the incomplete statistics of a complaint platform, only Li ONE received more than a thousand collective complaints.
Some owners said in the complaint that the price reduction without prior notice had damaged the interests of the owners, and asked Li Auto to give an explanation and offer a solution as soon as possible, and some owners made a request to replace the new vehicle.
Last Sunday, the relevant people of Li Auto"s customer service center and public relations department confirmed the rumors in the market and said that after the discontinuation of the Li ONE, the after-sales of vehicles will not be affected.
Li Auto just announced its August sales data a few days ago, delivering a total of 4,571 new vehicles, down 51.54% from the last year and 56.14% from the last month. From January to August, Li Auto delivered a total of 75,400 vehicles, up 56.5% year on year. The cumulative delivery volume of Li Auto has reached 199,500 units.
The decline in sales was not explained by Li Auto, but the release date of the replacement model L8 was announced simultaneously. According to Shen Yannan, co-founder and president of Li Auto, the car is positioned as a mid-size SUV, which offers two models, a six-seat version and a five-seat VIP version. It will be released in early November, with deliveries starting the same month as the release.
